    HOLY GROUND
    JUST WHAT IS HOLY GROUND:

In order to really know the full meaning of Holy Ground I feel it would be good to find the real meaning of this statment. So to find the meaning of any word or words I always go to the following dictionaries:

    1. Davis Biblical Dictionary.

    2. Britannica Dictionary

    3. Welbster's New World Dictionary.
    Second College Edition.

In the light of the above and with reference from the following:

    Matthew Henry Commentary.
    John Wesley Commentary.

The following is what I found and do except:

    HOLY GROUND:

    1. Deeply concerned with God and the beliefs and practice of religion.
2.In the service or worship of God.
3.Regarded with particular reverence or respect.
4.Given over exclusively to a single use or purpose.
5.Dedicated for a singular purpose or use.

    Religious---Devouted---Godly---Holy---Sacred---Divine--- Consecrated---Dedicated---Hollow.

Keeping the above in mind suppose we look at a small part of this subject in the King Jame Verison of The Bible:(KJV)

Before starting permit me to say that I am a fundamentist, in fact I have been called an extreme Fundamentist: I just took time to thank him. With that said suppose we look at a few Bible (KJV) verses concerning Holy Ground:

    Exodus:
    3/3 thru 5
3.And Moses said,I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

4.And when the lord saw that he had turn aside to see,God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said,Moses, Moses. And he said,Here am I.

5.And He said draw not nigh hither:put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is Holy Ground.

I suppose now is as good of time as any to think on just what made that ground Holy Ground. Because of the very presence of Jehovah God in that Place. Yes God was there. However He had a special purpose of being there. That bush was so designated to attract Moses Attention. Thus it was set aside for a special purpose.

I feel that we all realizes that when a special thing or place is designated and dedicated to God for His service,Then it would surely be call a Holy thing or Place: With just a short check we will find that removing their shoes was about the same,in Ancient Judah as it is for us today for us to tip or remove our hats out of respect for a place or thing that we consider to be sacred, or special. So we find in Exodus 3/3 God telling Moses to take off his shoes. Just a show of respect. simply a show of respect.

    Exodus:
    26/33
33.And thou shalt hang up the veil under the tache, that thou mayest bring in hither within the veil the ark of the testamony: and the veil shall divide unto you between the Holy
    Place and the most Holy.

Yes on the outside of this veil was Holy Ground, But then behind the veil was the most Holy,But make no mistake on the outside of that veil was Holy. Why was it Holy? Just because it was dedicated to the Lord for worship purposes: Nothing More, Nothing less:

    So let us not be fooled or deceived in this matter as to what is Holy Ground;

    Isaiah:
    56:7
Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

    Matthew:
    21/12 & 13
12.And Jesus went into the temple of God,and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychanger, and the seats of them that sold doves.

13.And said unto them,It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer;but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Should we have any other ideal why Jesus did the above things? Ofcourse we all know why Jesus did those things; Simply because the temple was dedicated for the worship of the Lord.
    Nothing More, Nothing Less!

    Mark:
    11:17
And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

    Luke:
    19:46
Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it a den of thieves.
    .
    1 Corinthians:
    11/20 thru 22
20.When you come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's Supper.

21.For in eating ever one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hunry, and another is drunken.

22.What? have ye not house to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.

    1 CORINTHIANS:
    11/34
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home;that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest I will set in order when I come.

    1 Timothy:
    3:15
But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

In the light of the above we seem to have a pretty good reason to doubt that it is pleasing before almighty God for the fellowship hall to be in the church building in any form or fashion, or description:

    HOWEVER:

Help I am just a layman, I consider myself as a fundamental christian. Some says an extreme fundamentalist and maybe I am.

    PLEASE TAKE NOTE:

    PROVERBS:
    14/12
12.There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

    ROMANS 14/23
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

I feel that I can not use my LORD'S house of prayer as a dinning room within the bounds of my faith: Therefore I personally can not attend social meals in the Church building, without sinning:

I COULD NOT LIVE IN PEACE WITH-
IN MYSELF IF I PUT A SHADOW OF WILFUL SIN BETWEEN MYSELF AND MY LORD:
