Christmas Party

by Liz Howard

Klaus surveyed the room, his eyes sweeping over the expensive, tasteful decorations and the elegantly dressed people standing in small groups. This was Lucard Industries' first Christmas party since its formation just under a year ago, and Alexander had been determined that it would be perfect. And it was. Klaus felt a burst of pride at that--he'd been in charge of most of the preparations.
He knew that the people who had come were all very curious about Alexander and his amazingly successful company...and about himself. Klaus' keen hearing had picked up several conversations so far about him and his relationship with Lucard. Several of the young female guests of the various clients present were especially curious about Lucard's "assistant." If only they knew...He allowed himself the luxury of a quiet snort. That would set their tongues wagging. He sobered. And probably send their business elsewhere. That wouldn't be so entertaining.
Finally, Klaus spotted the figure he'd been looking for. Slender and exquisitely dressed as ever, Alexander Lucard wove his way between his employees and business associates with practiced ease, shaking hands, dispensing smiles and greetings. Klaus felt a familiar tightness fill his chest when his eyes fell on the golden-haired vampire. Lucard looked up to where Klaus stood on the stairs and smiled. God, he's beautiful, Klaus thought, returning the smile. He came the rest of the way down to stand before the older vampire.
"Klaus. Is everything under control?" Lucard stretched out a graceful hand to smooth Klaus' lapel, and it took all of the younger vampire's carefully-schooled self-control to keep still.
"Yes." Despite his frustration, Klaus couldn't help smirking. "After I gave Mr. Takami your message, he felt he'd been...rather hasty."
Lucard gave a little smirk of his own. "Good. Thank you, Klaus." Then his face grew serious. "Now, there are some people you need to meet. Come."
The rest of the evening passed swiftly, as Lucard introduced Klaus to a string of faces the younger vampire faithfully imprinted in his memory. It wasn't easy to concentrate, though, with Lucard by his side, one hand sometimes brushing his arm, taking his shoulder as he was presented to executive after executive.
He took a deep breath, and forced himself to pay attention. Alexander says we must maintain focus.

Lucard watched his protege smoothly exchange greetings with yet another client, and smiled. He's come a long way, the older vampire mused. It hadn't been easy--Klaus had the Helsing stubbornness--but it had definitely been worth it. The once revoltingly pure blond had been transformed into a creature of the night, a ruthless businessman, and an excellent assistant. And now that he knows a little about how to dress...Lucard's eyes flicked over Klaus' tuxedo approvingly, seeing how it clung to his broad-shouldered figure.
Making his arch-enemy's son into a vampire had been intended as a particularly devastating blow against the old man. But what had started out as a preemptive strike had become an enjoyable challenge, and finally a downright pleasure. It had been so long since he'd had someone he could trust, and while he didn't trust even Klaus completely, he could relax with the boy and enjoy himself. Watching him go through the transition to vampirism had been charming, the surprise the youngster had felt at how wondrous it was to walk the night as a predator putting all thoughts of being a good little Helsing right out of his head once and for all.
Klaus turned his head to glance at him for an instant, and Lucard could see the younger man's desire flickering behind his eyes. Lucard let the ghost of a smile cross his lips. He really is insatiable, isn't he? He hasn't learned how to focus that energy into other channels until it's needed. Another introduction, Klaus turning from Lucard to incline his head and shake the hand of yet another bank president. But he is doing quite well, all things considered. And at least I didn't have to wean him off schnitzel. They moved on, and Lucard watched Klaus out of the corner of his eyes. He felt a quiet smolder somewhere in the back of his mind, and firmly suppressed it. Not now.

Finally, the festivities over, Klaus and Lucard flew back to the castle. When they sparked into human form in Lucard's candle-lit bedchamber, Klaus flopped down in a chair and undid his tie with a sigh of relief.
"Tired?" Lucard's voice held just a hint of amusement as he crossed his arms and leaned against the window frame, his lithe frame relaxing almost imperceptibly.
"A little. Mostly just tired of all those people! Some of them...really, Alexander, do we have to do business with those Americans?" He tried to keep a whine out of his voice, and almost succeeded.
"Klaus, that small computer company has a future. We want to have a history with them when they become influential."
"I know. But it doesn't make that infernal man any more pleasant."
"Was he really that obnoxious to you?" Lucard moved to stand behind Klaus' chair, and rubbed gentle fingers over the younger vampire's temples.
Klaus sighed softly. "Mmmm...That's wonderful...but yes, he was obnoxious. Especially after he'd had a few glasses of eggnog. He wanted to tell me all about his love life."
Lucard chuckled. "I see. And did he?"
"No. I, ah, 'saw you beckoning to me from across the room,' made some eloquent apologies, and left."
          "Wicked boy!"
Klaus tipped his head back to one side to look up at Lucard, and grinned impishly. "I learned from the best."
"You did indeed." Lucard bent down to graze those inviting lips with his own in a light kiss, the smolder he'd felt earlier sparking into flame. When he pulled away, Klaus stood and came around the chair to stand before him, his eyes darkening with arousal. Their lips met again, more insistently this time, and Lucard felt the last of his own tension drain out of him as Klaus' mouth opened to admit his probing tongue.
The younger vampire tasted of the eggnog they'd been serving in large quantities that evening, but also of chocolate mousse, and something else Lucard couldn't quite place. His tongue explored further, as he tried to identify it. But as one of Klaus' hands slid down his back to pull him closer and the other worked between them to undo the buttons of his shirt, coherent thought seemed like too much trouble.
They lingered over each other's clothes, exploring each bit of flesh as it was revealed, delighting in their vampiric senses. Finally, Lucard drew Klaus to the huge bed, and they tumbled onto the silky black sheets. A smile played around Klaus' lips as he pushed Lucard back onto the soft pillows, and kissed his way down his chest, pausing to lick each pink nipple into a hardened peak. He moved slowly, knowing from experience exactly what the older vampire liked, and prolonging the torment by taking his time in getting there. When he reached the next of golden curls surrounding Lucard's erection, he stopped, and sat back to admire the body sprawled before him. Gold and white on ebony, he thought, feeling suddenly poetic. Lucard's impossibly blue eyes opened to gaze at him, slightly glazed.
          "Klaus..."
"I think I could write a sonnet to you." He ran a hand slowly up the inside of Lucard's thigh, and smiled as the already straining erection jumped slightly.
Lucard's voice, usually so silky-smooth, was a bit ragged. "Perhaps later, Klaus. Right now..." he trailed off.
Klaus' hand reached Lucard's balls, and cupped them gently as he brought his mouth down to devoutly kiss the head of the older vampire's cock. He was rewarded with a soft sigh, and ran his tongue lightly from base to tip once, twice, before taking the head in his mouth and swirling his tongue around it.
Lucard's hips bucked slightly, and one hand reached down to caress the side of Klaus' face. Klaus responded by relaxing his throat, and taking the entire length into his mouth, flickering his tongue just so. It didn't take very many repetitions of this treatment to bring Lucard to the brink. Klaus heard Lucard whisper something incomprehensible before gasping "Ah, Klaus...!" as the spasms of his climax rocked him. Klaus gave the now-softening member a parting kiss before wriggling up the bed to prop himself on an elbow beside Lucard.
Lucard opened his eyes and smiled lazily. "Klaus..."
"Yes?" He couldn't help smirking a little.
Lucard brought up a slender hand to cup his protege's face. He seemed about to say something, but kissed him instead. Without breaking contact, he rolled Klaus onto his back, pinning the slightly larger vampire beneath him. He rested his weight on his forearms, looking down into the young, eager face. Klaus' eyes were closed, the broad lips slightly parted, his head eagerly tipped back to expose his throat in submission. Lucard rocked his hips slightly and Klaus' eyes flew open.
"Well," Lucard drawled. "We seem to have some...business to attend to."
He smiled at Klaus' chuckle, and kissed the dark eyes closed before working his way down the firm jaw and across Klaus' throat. Lucard heard the younger vampire sigh when he crossed the vein that pulsed faintly beneath his lips, and nipped it gently before moving to the hairy chest below.
Klaus moaned as Lucard explored his way down to his navel. When Lucard skipped from there to start working from Klaus' knees back up, alternating mothwing-light kisses with gentle nips along his protege's thighs, the supine vampire whimpered softly. "Alexander..."
Lucard sat up entirely at that. "Hm?"
Klaus' eyes flew open in frustration. "Dammit!" He was aching with need. But Lucard was smiling blithely down at him, that angelic face radiant in the candlelight, and his frustration melted away. "Please..."
Taking pity on him, Lucard ran a finger up his thigh and circled his cock with one hand.
"God, yes!" Klaus gasped out, his eyes closing again.
Lucard's fingers traced maddening patterns up and down, constantly avoiding the head until Klaus was begging incoherently. When he took his hands away, and slid his mouth all the way around and down, swallowing Klaus' length effortlessly, the younger vampire cried out wordlessly, his hands gripping the sheets in white-knuckled fists as he came.
As Klaus gasped, trying to bring his breathing back under control, Lucard lay down next to him, drawing the covers up. While vampires didn't suffer nearly as much from the cold as humans, there was a certain comfort to be had in the gentle weight of blankets.
Klaus snuggled into Lucard's arms as he began to fall asleep, then made a soft sound in his throat as he remembered something. "Alexander?"
          "Yes, Klaus?"
          "Merry Christmas."
Lucard smiled. "Indeed. Merry Christmas to you, my dear."
Klaus sighed contentedly, and nestled his head against Lucard's shoulder before falling asleep. Lucard willed the candles out, and slipped into unconsciousness himself, while outside the stars twinkled brightly.
