WE  ARE  ONE  CLUB!
Carl Brown, Lt. Governor, made this announcement at our last meeting. OI approved our request to become one club during their December business meeting. Barbara Brann, President from CCSE, said this ruling would become official on January 1, 2005. This topic will be discussed more at our business meeting on December 23, 2004.

A  CHRISTMAS  PARTY  FOR  BEACON  CENTER
Fran Stranaham and Barbara Brann both CCSE members, gave some staff and seven girls from Beacon Center an outstanding early morning Christmas party on Thursday. The girls received gifts, coupons for shopping at Southwest Mall and their own personal plants to care for in their rooms. If the other girls enjoyed themselves as much as Sabrina, who Eva and I sponsored, rest assured, they all had a great time.  Marcy Baruch, a local recording artist provided entertainment for everyone. Thanks Fran and Barbara. All of your hard work made the party a big success.

CLUB  BUSINESS

CLUB'S  HEALTH

  • Leonard Molberg, HCOC, we hope you are still improving and doing better every day. Give Leonard a call and say "hello" & "Season's Greetings".
  • Edna Webster, HCOC, took a Mediterranean Cruise and somehow fell and broke her right hip. However, she doesn't remember falling. Edna is back at the Heritage Club and is currently using a walker to get around but it hasn't slowed her down as she went to see the Rockettes yesterday afternoon. She said to tell everyone hello and would welcome any calls but that if she isn't in, please leave a message and she will callback. Edna's telephone number is 303-691-8005.

THANK  GOD  FOR  WINTER'S  LITTLE  BLESSINGS
Thank God for the little things that fill our hearts with love, for all of these reminders sent from Heaven up above…

For snowflakes that fall to cover the ground, for the fire we've made and it's warm crackling sound.
For a cup of hot cocoa, a spot of cider or tea, or perhaps maybe just a simple mug of coffee.

I'm thankful for all of the different ways to warm one's heart on a cold winter's day.

For the comforts of our home so sweet, a snuggly warm bed and soul food to eat.

For the children all playing out in the bright snow, and how their smiles set my heart aglow.

For the songs we sing of joy, peace and love; for good tidings we pray to our Father above.

Though it surely may be quite frigid outside, we will always be warm with the Lord as our guide.

For all the joy His kindness brings; I find my spirits lifted up, for He truly gives my soul it's wings.

Oh, thank you Lord, for all of winter's little blessings.
