August 14th, 2005: Daniela lost the final of JP Morgan Chase Open, LA today to Kim Clijsters. It could have been her second WTA single title. She lost with the figures 6-4, 6-1. August 15 - 21, Rogers Cup, Toronto, Tier I
August 16th, 2005: Daniela has withdrawn from the Rogers Cup during her first round match. She withdrew at 4-4 in the third set due to heat illness. August 22 - 28, Pilot Pen Tennis, New Haven, Tier II
August 22nd, 2005: Daniela stays at number 21st on the WTA Tour ranklist, but jumps from 21 to 18 on the WTATour ranklist for doubles. August 29 - September 11, US Open, Flushing Meadows, Grand Slam
August 28th, 2005: Daniela jumps from number 21 to 19 on the WTA tour ranking, and falls from 18 to 19 on the WTA tour's double ranking.
Daniela was also beaten by Lindsay Davenport in New Haven at the Pilot Pen Tennis Tournament this week in the QF. Davenport won the tournament.

August 29th, 2005: Seeded 20 in this year's US Open, Daniela won her 1st round match 6-3, 6-1, defeating Camille Pin. She made a total of 23 winners including 5 aces. Oct 3 - 9, Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, Filderstadt, Germany, Tier II
September 3rd, 2005: Daniela was defeated in her 3rd round match against Venus Williams. The day before she played her first round matches in mixed double and double and won both. Daniela is seeded 5 in the Ladies double tournament. Oct 17 - 23rd, Zurich Open, Tier I
September 6th, 2005: Daniela and Ai Sugiyama lost their R16 (3rd round match) at the women's double at the US Open. Today Daniela and Mahesh Bhupathi won their QF in the Mix Doubles. Oct 24th - 31st, Generali Ladies Linz, Austria, Tier II
September 8th, 2005: Daniela and Mahesh Bhupathi won their SF in the Mix Doubles and will play the final later today. Good luck. Nov 1st - 7th, Bell Challenge, Quebec City, Canada, Tier III
September 10th, 2005: Daniela and Mahesh Bhupathi won the final in the Mix Doubles in two sets.
September 12th, 2005: Daniela remains number 19 in the world in both singles and doubles.
September 27, 2005: Daniela won her first round match against Anabel Medina-Garrigues at Fortis Championship in Luxembourg in 3 sets with the figures 6-7, 7-6, 6-0. She survived 2 match balls.
Other news: Daniela has not move on the WTA Ranking list, so she is still number 19 this week

September 28, 2005: Daniela won her second round match at Fortis Championship in Luxembourg in 2 sets: 6-4, 6-1 by defeating Chakvetadze.
September 30, 2005: Daniela lost the QF at Fortis Championship in Luxembourg in 2 sets 6-1, 6-4 to Nathalie Dechy.
October 2nd, 2005: Daniela dropped on the WTA tour ranking from number 19 to number 20.
October 3rd, 2005: Daniela won her first round match in Filderstadt, Germany against Meghann SHAUGHNESSY with the figures 6-4, 6-0.
October 5th, 2005: Daniela won her second round match in Filderstadt, Germany against Patty Schnyder with the figures 6-4, 6-3. Daniela also won her first round match in the doubles with the figures 6-2 6-2 against Vladimira Uhlirova and Lucie Hradecka. Her double partner is Anastacia Myskina.
October 6th, 2005: Daniela and Myskina won their second round match 7-5 6-4, and they are now ready for the semi-final.
October 8th, 2005: Daniela won her QF yesterday against Flavia Pennetta 6-3 6-4. I didn't see the match, but I've heard she played really well, and had a couple of rulings against her.
Today she played the SF against Davenport, and even though she played well, she lost 6-3, 6-4. But a big congratz to Dani for making it this far in Filderstadt.

October 9th, 2005: Daniela and Myskina won the doubles final today: 6-0, 3-6, 7-5. The had a lot of match balls but had trouble closing the match.
Daniela will be number 17 tomorrow on the WTA tour singles ranking.

October 20th, 2005: Daniela is currently number 19 on the WTA singles ranking. In 10 minutes she will play her second round match in Zurich against Davenport. On Tuesday she beat Ai Sugiyama in three sets, and together they won their first round double match.
October 23th, 2005: Daniela lost her second round match to Davenport in 3 sets. Daniela had two matchballs in the second set, but failed to win the match.
Daniela and Ai lost the final in Zurich to Black/Stubbs in three sets: 7-6, 6-7, 3-6.

October 24th, 2005: Daniela is number 20 this week on the WTAtour ranking in singles, 14 in doubles. She is number 17 on the Porsche Race, and number 6 on the doubles standings in the Porsche Race.
October 25th, 2005: Daniela and Ai has played their first double match in Linz. They won 6-0, 6-3 and are now ready for the QF. They are seeded 4 in the tournament.
October 26th, 2005: Daniela just won her first round match against Koukalova in Linz in 3 sets: 6-4, 6-7, 7-6. She didn't play well, though in my opinion. Tomorrow she'll play both singles and doubles.
October 27th, 2005: Daniela won her second round match against C. Martinez with the scores: 2:6, 6:0, 3:1 retired. Daniela started a bit slow, but worked her way up and played some beautiful tennis in the end.
October 29th, 2005: Daniela was defeated by Patti Schnyder in the QF in Linz: 6-2, 6-1.
October 31st, 2005: Daniela has withdrawn from this week's tournament in Quebec due to a shoulder injury.
Daniela is ranked as number 18 on the WTAtour ranking, 13 in doubles, 16 on the race to WTA tour championships, and 5 on the race to WTA tour championship for doubles.

November 7th, 2005: Daniela ends the year ranked 17 in the porsche race championships, and 7 in doubles.
In singles, she drops from 18 to 19 this week, and in doubles she holds at number 13.

November 9th, 2005: Daniela has now signed up for her first 2006 tournaments, namely ASB Classic from January 2-7 in Auckland.
