Nebraska Test Handiman Special Thanks from Doug Weingart for sending this along with a 91760123 Manual Test number 732 Model Bradley Handiman David Bradley Mfg.Works, Bradley ILL. Date tested November 30 to December 9 1959 Complete with 23 pounds of added ballast, the BRADLEY HANDIMAN, weighed 175 pounds. It featured a Briggs & Stratton, single cylinder air-cooled engine rated at 3600 rpm's. Useing a 2 3/8 x 1 3/4 inch bore and stroke. It had a 7.75 CID. A fixed sheave V-belt drive and planitory gear set gave forward speeds ranging from 0.60 to 2.5 mph, Fuel economy was registered at 2.88 horsepower hours per gallon at a maximum of available output of 0.69 drawbar horsepower. This two-hour run indicated a pull of 115 pounds at 2.24mph,slippage at 14.18% and fuel economy of 2.88 horsepower hours per gallon of gasoline. A 10 hour run made at 75% pull noted 0.55 drawbar horsepower, a pull of 88 pounds Fat 2.35 mph and slippage of 10.36 % for fuel economy figure of 2.53 hprsepower hours per gallon. Belt testing indicated 2.19 maxinum horsepower,together with a fuel economy of 6.76 horsepower hours per gallon.No repairs or adjustments were noted during 37 hours of running time . |
