Witch Cottage: Skellas

Violet Vesicant

Welcome to the witch cottage and moon garden. Pass through the door and under the nightscape stained glass transom and little Violet will run up to greet you. She is the house 'garden imp'. Tragically, she was a casualty of the 1916 flu epidemic that ravaged the country, especially this area.

Violet is keeper of the moon garden and skellas. She is a master gardener with specialties in the growing of poison ivy and oak, hemlock, thornapple, bane berry, velvet grass, night shade, Queen Ann's lace, mountain laurel, fox glove and death cup... all ' skella' foods.

She is always carrying her little jack-o-lantern to illuminate the cottage and garden on her nightly ramblings and parties. Violet is our little garden imp, friends to fairies, keeper of the skellas and tender of vines. You may be tempted to give a hug or squeeze, but I wouldn't recommend it.

SKELLAS

Little flower people who bloom in the Dead of Night when magick and stars fill the sky.
"We are little flower people 'witch' grow and bloom where no others dare. We are nourished on moonbeams and fog atop a desolate mountain top, in the garden of-- The Cobb Webb."

Trio of Green Skella Back of Skella's head

The back of the Skella's head are as attractive as the face, with flower buds. they hide well in the garden, while giggling in the night breezes.

5" to 6" inches tall, depending on the flower they represent. They are separated by color, not patterns of material. When ordering choose color, and we will pick the closest to that from the garden.

Each Skella has a set of buttons: ants, Halloween forms, etc. There are no specifics. Also, each Skella holds something in one of its hands: a Skella stick, jol stick, flower basket, etc; nothing specific. It is what we find in the garden. All wear under slips with a ring of jols or skeletons printed on the hemline and all wear leaf shoes.

$18.00 each or 3 for $45.00

What is shown is a drop in the bucket of what is in the garden. The Halloween Skellas are starting to grow, so be sure to check the cottage/garden often.
