Brooke and Tanya!

We started the Hall originally in 1994 while waiting to see Legends of the Fall. We decided that there were a select group of men that were just so good looking that they deserved to be known as GODs. We started out small. Only 5 guys (Brad, Keanu, Val, Cary, and Ethan) but that list quickly grew by leaps and bounds as we took notice of new (and not so new) guys that belonged in our little list. Back in April 7, 1998 we made it up to 24 GODs [26 in February 3rd, of 2000] (it seems like only yesterday when we were amazed that we'd hit a dozen!) and there were thoughts of adding even more. We had also thought that our nominations would grow faster that this website could ever hope to, but when it got to the point, just recently, we decided with the way that tastes change, we'd downgrade some GODs to make room for new ones. This site was started in September 1997 and I believe at the time our list didn't top 20. It will take some doing, but the current changes we have planned should put us back there, which will be a bit of a relief. ~~~~ Just a note on why we've gotten so behind and why we're getting rid of some former GODs: Okay obviously we don't keep up on this site as much as we should. Brooke and I have been talking though about a major revamp. There a definitely going to be some comings and goings (more of the latter). I probably won't be taking any of the old pages down, just disabling direct links and moving link locations. Alex Rodriguez for instance... good looking? yes. hellova ball player? yes. God material? no. As you might have noticed on his site, he has been demoted. It's so hard to thing of him in a nice way after what he did to Seattle, the Mariners, and his fans... not to mention poor Texas! I will very soon be taking him off Floor 4 and moving him into the candystore. As I said before the actual location of his page probably won't move -as I spent WAY too much time scanning pics and working on that page to just delete everything- I will just move the link so you can only access it through old links and the candystore. Get it? I think some of the other guys might go by the wayside too as there is either not enough information about them (see Robert Sean Leonard), they're appeal is just so over (see Leonardo DiCaprio - who we actually had before the Titanic craze), they were a passing fad for Brooke and I (see Matt Dillon, who just looked so darn cute in In & Out) or they just don't have the makings of a GOD anymore (Cary Elwes and Ethan Hawke, two of the original 5!, who are kind of a combination of not enough info or roles and they haven't exactly aged well - sorry Cary! or the same shtick has gotten old (yes Ethan, it's time for a bath) and Tom Cruise - as there is something decidedly unsexy and godlike about leaving your wife to date someone almost half your age.) So.. look for some changes soon... You might even be surprised to see someone(s) new....
