More changes but they came through extenuating circumstances. The acoustic set isn't playing anymore, and the show now begins at 6:30; also, it's just $2 instead of $5. Okay, that's all. <~>

2/18/04

Wow. Okay, for serious this time: final set list, final location, final time, everything.

The show will be in the middle courtyard at McNeil, outside on a stage, weather permitting; if it rains, we'll be in the cafeteria. It will be on Friday, March 5th, from 7:00-10:00, and the set is as follows:

7:00 - This Side Up
7:45 - Acoustic Covers
8:15 - El Torcho Torcho
9:00 - Omega Red

I truly believe this is the final information, once and for all. The sound is going to be great now, since it'll be outside, so, even more, come, please. That's all. <~>

2/12/04

Okay. Here is the final (read: final) list for the show, in order:

Acoustic Covers
This Side Up
Pea-Ness
El Torcho Torcho
Omega Red

Now, it is a very do-able show and will work better. Also, please note that the acoustic set is at the beginning, so be sure to be there early for me and the other guys.

Also, in demo news, we recorded more today, and it sounds incredible; close to studio quality, and it's just going to beat everyone who listens to it into submission. That's all. <~>

The finalized crap has been decided and reported to us, so here you go. The final bands that are playing are as follows (and in this order):

Pea-Ness
Acoustic Covers
This Side Up
The Conscience
El Torcho Torcho
Omega Red

They couldn't get it approved for the courtyard or outside, so we're going to be in the cafeteria again. ID's are required again, but will actually be enforced, so please bring them. Also, this time there is a fee of $5, but don't worry, we're not making any money; it's for the Chase McGowen Foundation, which is for a guy who has desperately needed numerous operations done for his health, so please don't let the cost deter you. Also, there will be concessions this time as well. Anyway, that's probably all the news for the show; please come out and support us, it's going to be a really, really good show.

In different news, we are recording a new demo with Pinali's home semi-studio on his Mac, and the quality is outstanding. The songs included will be Soma, Will, and Soren. (That is, First, Ninth, and Eleventh.) Today the Ben's and I recorded and Strickland laid down the scratch drum tracks we'll use for all three, and I recorded my bass for Soma; the pre-final time lengths for each song are 5:42, 6:12, and 7:28, respectively. (That is good.) Tomorrow, everyone but Strickland will be there to record our different parts, and it looks like this will happen pretty painlessly, and quickly, for how good the quality is. The only somewhat slow or have-to-wait parts of the process will be Pinali's singing (which will be done last, after all the music is done), the final drums (which we're going to mic all of Strickland's drums for), and the mastering/completing process. Anyway, that's just all good news; we plan on sending this demo to places downtown and what not to hope to start playing regularly.

Anyway; summation: come to show, buy demo. That's all. <~>

P.S. I was informed the acoustic set of covers will only be 20 minutes long, but that will still be cool/fun, so come for that as well.

Okay the show is in less than four weeks, so I'll probably be posting any new and relevant information on here more rapidly and actively. For anyone new to the site or us as a band, just scroll to the bottom to read the first entry where I described us; one addition/change is that Tyler now plays acoustic guitar on all of our songs. That's basically it in regards to us. One side note is that, if you notice in the Shows section, "Acoustic Covers" is playing, and I should explain that: Tyler, Michael Summers, Asa Crow, and I are doing a 30-40 minute acoustic set of covers at the show; yeah, that's about it, but just so you know. Okay, that's all. <~>

2/5/04

Wow. More lyrics. Go. <~>

2/3/04

Again, this is for nobody: more lyrics. <~>

1/26/04

Not, of course, that anybody reads this, but we have another scheduled show, as well as updated lyrics. <~>

8/12/03

The show is free, but you need your high school ID to get in (all schools are allowed, you just have to have your ID.) That's all. <~>

This is the new homepage for the band Omega Red. We consist of myself (Brad East), Ben Pinali, Tyler Richards, Aaron Self, and Ben Strickland. We all attend McNeil High School. I play bass, Aaron plays lead guitar, Ben S. plays drums, and Tyler plays rhythm guitar. Our lead singer used to be Sean Williams, but he is no longer with us. (As a band, not in life.) Ben Pinali is our new lead singer and third guitarist, of Tonebenders fame. We are never really sure what to classify our music as, so we just say rock. Comparisons/influences would probably include Tool, Rage Against the Machine, A Perfect Circle, Audioslave, System of a Down, Dream Theater, Alice in Chains, and others.

This is the new homepage for our site. We are fully aware that our site is trash, and very crowded and sick to look at, not to mention navigate. I figured I would make a new home page so you can come and not be visually assaulted. I will have a link to the original home page, which has a dozen other links to a million other things. Also, under Bios, I have not fixed Sean being there, and have not put Pinali there. (And yes, we are also aware the little questionaire is stupid. Forgive us.)

Anyway, the reason for all this is that we have a show coming up and people who did/do not know who we are might want to see who we are. Well this is it. The show will be posted under the link, but just so you know, it is August 29th, in the cafeteria at McNeil High School, from 7-10, for a 'Maverick Mixer.' This Side Up is playing first, then us (link to their website on the right). It will be a dollar or less. We will be playing a good-sized show, about 8 songs or so. Please come. Oh, and we may or may not have demos at the show. Our old ones have Sean singing, and the demo itself isn't great (we made it ourselves with Tyler's digital recorder in a couple of days). Who knows.

Anyway, I believe that is all. I am not sure how much I will update this, but feel free to check back whenever you want for more occult propaganda, bios, fabricated news, upcoming shows, false tabs, links, philosophical wonderings on the meaning of lachrymology, and lyrics, in the future.

Feel free to IM me on sojo sol erba anytime with any questions, comments, concerns, etc. I believe that is all for now. <~>
