Welcome to the Korean Hagwon Blacklist!

This is the most comprehensive and up-to-date list of disreputable employers across Korea.

Due to the unaccessibility of the justice system in Korea to foreigners, and the numerous cases of mistreatment of english teachers by some institutions, such a list has become necessary.

If you have been treated badly, or are about to start teaching with a new employer in Korea, this site will be of use to you.

Our goal is to make it extremely difficult for schools who have previously mistreated teachers to find new recruits. We aim to do this by letting other teachers, as well as recruiters, and the schools themselves know who is blacklisted and why.

This will hopefully act as a deterent to bad institutions, and help teachers who are being treated unjustly resolve their situations.

If you work, or have recently worked for a hagwon or other teaching institution in Korea that has not kept it's part of the contract, disregarded the labor laws, or badly mistreated you, please go to our Add to Blacklist page.

This site is continually updated, so check back from time to time.
