This is the first year that Hampton High has had a strong competive cheerleading squad. Its not easy to be a strong cheerleading squad. It takes alot of practice, cooperation, and hard work.
For our team to be successful each cheerleader must come to practice 2 times a week, all year! Cheerleading is the only sport that goes year round.
For a cheerleading squad every team member must have their strong points and weak points. Their strong points should be reconized and their weak points should be worked on.
The team must be their for all school activities, with a smile, to cheer on their school.
FOOTBALL
GAMES
We work hard everyday, in the gym,
no time for play.
When away from someone their,
you cry and show how much you care.
The yelling and screaming,
and the tears that fall,
when you try your hardest and it wont go up at all.
and when you think you've done your best,
they make sure you know your worst then the rest.
With all the hate building the room,
everyone becomes filled with doom.
Then it happens,
your biggest fear,
someone fall right on their rear.
Now your stuck and sad in the face,
for there is no one to replace.
Everyone says their number one,
but your team doesn't care.
They just practice hard,
as they cry with pain and pull each others hair.
Its sad but true,
what you'll go through,
just to be number one,
and at the end who really knows who will be number one.
Then as your scream, cry and pile into the van,
you have to sit and listen to people you just can't stand.
Then you're there,
you're on your on the floor and the music plays,
and everyone smiles with love in them,
a face you haven't seen for days.
When you're done you can not breath,
all you can do is cry,
for all the happiness and the love you feel for your team inside.
You did it,
your team is number one,
and everyone starts to cry,
but not for sadness, but happiness and this is not a lie.
For this I tell you is a sport where your not to short or to tall,
for this I tell you is cheerleading a sport that says it all!

~ Its takes years to build your character and mere seconds to distroy it ~
~ Democracy ends at the coach's door ~
~ Somewhere in the stands is a little girl/boy who wants to be just like you
- don't let them down ~
~ The difference between good and great is a little extra practice ~
~ Mom doesn't know where your uniform is because she didn't wear it last ~
~ Keep the "leader" in cheerleader ~
~ Always ROCK THE HOUSE ~
