Learning Disabilities: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Introduction
All
over the world today, there are children and adults with significant problems
in four main areas of their lives:
Inattention, Impulsivity, Hyperactivity, Boredom.
The ratio of the human population having these problems, can be statistically measured as for 5 out of ever 100 children in school. Although the male tend to outnumber the female by 3 to 1 in prevalence of attaining this disorder.
These people will exhibit problems in concentration, learning and memory as their problems involves a person’s ability to process and sort out incoming information or stimulus, both internally and externally.
While it is not classified a specific learning disability, it can interfere with concentration and attention, making it difficult for a person to do well in school and in social situations.
