Partial Genealogy of Asaph Young

We have been unable up to this time to locate the ancestry of Asaph Young or the place of birth. It is possible he is a decendent of Christopher Youngs and wife Pricilla who sailed on the ship Love in 1635 from Southwold,England and settled in Southwold, L.I.
Record of this family is found in the book of Young Genealogy in the Newberry Library,Chicago in which it appears several branches of the family moved to Connecticut early in the 17th century and no record of these families can be found. The above note appears on a pedigree scroll(Title:THE PARTIAL GENEALOGY OF ASAPH YOUNG) given to my family by my late aunt Rosela Young noterized and dated 26 March 1924.
