Fil-Am Vets Rondalla members consist of former US servicemen from WWII, Vietnam and Gulf war era. They decided to form their group after a chance meeting in a Filipino cultural event at the San Jose, Ca. Filipino Community Center in August 1998, with ACC George G. Gange as the group coordinator. Highlights of the ensemble's performances include: Commonwealth Club of California sponsored Luncheon Reception for Her Excellency President  Macapagal-Arroyo in Westin Hotel, Santa Clara on  28 October 2002; Global Filipino Community Networking Convention Gala at the Moscone Center in San Francisco on August 31, 2002; NaFFAA National Convention at Doubletree Hotel in San Jose on 29-30 August 2002; Pamana Arts Legacy Awards Night  wherein they were one of the honorees, at the St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco on 28 August 2002; SF Consul Gen. Delia Menez-Rosal sponsored Independence Day Reception at the Clarion Hotel, Milbrae on 12 June  2002; Pistahan '01 and '02 celebrations in San Francisco, Filipinas Magazine Achievement Award Nights at Burlingame's Westin Hotel June '01 and at Hyatt Embarcadero on June '02; Asian Art Museum sponsored Gala Preview of the Asia Pacific Arts Festival held at Fort Mason in San Francisco on January 2002; Irish-Filipino Cultural Festival at the Yerba Buena Gardens in honor of St. Patrick Church' 150th Anniversary; on Aug. 2001;  The "Alay sa Pangulo" banquet at the San Francisco Fairmont, July 2000 in honor of a former Philippines President.
