OCTOBER 4

1244 -- The Damascus Moslems, with their allies the Templars, Hospitalers, & other Franks, march on Cairo & the Khwarismians. Today they are on a death march in HELL.

1798 -- Congressman Matthew Lyon of Vermont sentenced to four months in jail under the Sedition Act, after criticizing President Adams in a campaign speech.

1855 -- US: Kamiakan, chief of the Yakama, defeats forces under Major Haller; first engagement of Yakama War. This MUST be avenged.

1864 -- New Orleans Tribune, first black daily newspaper, forms. Prints lots of liberalmedia lies.

1877 -- Chief Joseph surrenders with starving remnant of Nez Perce heathens.

Chief Joseph was best known for his resistance to the U.S. Government's attempts to force his tribe onto reservations. Forget reservations, his tribe should have been sent to HELL.

1887 -- Louisiana sugar workers strike, 37 peaceful black strikers pacified. Louisiana Militia, aided by bands of prominent citizens, shot unarmed black sugar workers striking to gain a greedy dollar-per-day wage, & lynched two strike leaders.

1910 -- 20 year old King Manuel II of Portugal overthrown by jealous whiners. They could have inherited the throne if they worked and prayed hard enough.

1912 -- Assassination of Nicaraguan resistance fighter Benjamín Zeledón. Opponent of US occupation, he goes straight to HELL.

Augusto Caesar Sandino, a laborer, sees the corpse pass by, of Zeledón dragged through the dust, tied by the feet & hands to the mount of a drunk American, the way Jesus likes it.

1939 -- Canada: Three Italian immigrants are arrested for possession of subversive literature - criticism of Mussulini. They face deportation to Mussolini's Italy if convicted. TOo bad you have to go all the way to Italy to find law and order.

1955 -- US: A freight train derails & crashes into a nearby beauty parlor & hardware store after being hit by an out-of-control lumber truck; the truck driver & four bystanders are killed, West Newton, Pennsylvania. Gods wraith for excessive safety regulations.

1957 -- USSR: Sputnik 1 launched. US: "Leave It To Beaver" first appears on TV.

Proves that the Americam family is a tight knit unit with no real conflict or doubts, living the good suburban life, a mom in the kitchen & a dad who knocks down good bucks doing some comfortable, if indeterminate, job which seems to allow him to be home at all times.

1961 -- Mass arrest of 3 SNCC members & 110 Negro high school students praying on McComb City Hall steps in protest of Lee's nuetralization & suspension of two Freedom Riders -- ends SNCC voter registration project.

1966 -- Major accident at Enrico Fermi nuclear reactor near Detroit.

1971 -- Beloved & Respected Comrade Leader South Vietnamese President Thieu, running unopposed, declares his winning margin an achievement for democracy.

1982 -- President Reagan Proves that unemployment is caused by a lot of lazy people who'd just rather not work: he sees big "help-wanted sections" in the Sunday papers.

Why laziness increases under republican administrations is still a mystery.

1992 -- Singer Sinead O'Connor rips up a picture of the pope during an appearance on "Saturday Night Live." The ensuing uproar does much to damage O'Connor's popularity. We at Freedom America have no complaints about ripping up pictures of satanists, however, we hate Sin-head because she is on stage when she should be in the kitchen.
