No Weapons of Mass Destruction have been found in Iraq in the last 10 years.
There was no link between Iraq under Saddam and the events of 9/11/01.
There was no link between Iraq under Saddam and al Qaeda.

Osama? Omar? al-Zawahiri? al-Zarqawi?

24% more US soldiers have died in Iraq per day in 2004 than died in Iraq per day in 2003:

2003 482 US soldiers dead in 287 days = 1.68 US soldiers dead per day
2004 646 US soldiers dead in 310 days = 2.08 US soldiers dead per day

GWB has done well since 9/11/01, particularly if one ignores scamming the citizenry into war with Iraq, and the economy, especially deficits and joblessness. The war on terror (a metaphorical war, like the war on drugs or the war on poverty) has been expensive. 9/11/01 occurred on Bush's watch, after he was inattentive to and complacent about terror for almost 8 months.

Speaking of impeachment, what is the proper Constitutional remedy when the US President scams the Republic into war?  Certainly when the US President dupes the citizenry into war, he does a grave injury to the State. If you won't impeach when the President dupes the Republic, scams the polity, into war then when will you impeach? If not for this, then for what? The President lied to Congress. Can Congress pass this institutional deficit down to future generations? Can Congress surrender the impeachment power? Congress is acting squeamishly about impeachment, femalely about impeachment. Congress has slight institutional identity, slight institutional respect, slight self-respect. The difference between GWB and Ollie North is one of degree. Congress is afflicted by pusillanimity. Congress is prostrate.

Defense is mentioned 4th in the Preamble to the US Constitution, behind Union, Justice, and Tranquility. Article II, Section 2 of the US Constitution begins the enumeration of the President's powers, duties, responsibilities. 1st on the list is commander in chief of the army and navy.

Defense Secretary Rumsfeld has a seductive and compelling vision of US Empire, benevolent and enlightened. Got something better? Please note that even Donald Rumsfeld and Caspar Weinberger will scam you, will lie to you. Secretary Rumsfeld is unusually inventive. He invented the need for national missile defense. He invented the post 9/11 threat from Iraq.

Speaking of national missile defense, 10/9/04 marked 59 years and 2 months since nuclear weapons were last used in anger. Theorem: There is no such thing as nuclear missile attack. Proof: The proof is by induction and is left to the student. National missile defense, had it existed, would have been useless against the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01. Where will a nuclear missile attack come from? The Doctrine of Preemption gives the US the right to kill anyone and everyone possessing  a nuclear missile capable of reaching the US. More so if they don't speak English. No one has ever been killed in a nuclear missile attack. No one has ever even seen a nuclear missile attack. National missile defense won't defend against suitcases and won't defend against an illegal immigrant carrying a suitcase. If nuclear missile attack were going to occur, it would have occurred by now.
