A friend found this kitten on a porch. The mama cat didn't return after several hours, so I stepped in. I tried to find another nursing mama cat who might be a surrogate for this baby, but I was unsuccessful. So, she's mine now and I'm doing everything I can to help her survive.

The big kitty is my Gustav who is a year and a half. Gustav loves to groom the baby. He's been so sweet and gentle.

Grooming yet again... I instantly fell in love with the newborn kitten because she appeared to be a brown tabby like Gustav. My 2 little tiger cats...

Her tummy is spotted! Her umbilical cord was still attached when I first saw her and it was soft so I'm sure she was born on Friday, June 1, 2001. She lost the umbilical cord on Tuesday, June 5. One of her first little milestones. :)

Gustav wants to play... I trust Gustav, but the kitties are never left unsupervised. This is the baby in her little bed. I hope she outgrows it soon. I just want her to GROW!!
