The Norwegian craftsmen you can buy houses from at this site have aspects in their craftmanship that are unique in a number of ways:
1- The techniques involved in their treatment of the wood aren`t industrial, but based upon an old technique where all the knots are handcarved - the logs are made to last for centuries and through rough and changing weather
2- The wood material are from a very special pine only. Scandinavia has a long and very impressive forestry politic worked out between the owners of the forests as a group. The forest is very good taken care of and it is growing in size, even in regions trees grow slow. It is from slowgrowing regions the pine is choosen by our craftsmen. This pine has an extremely strong core and is one reason for the long life of the log houses
3- The isolation material is wool, no synthetic materials at all. The combination of building technique, wood material and isolation material makes these houses suitable for both warm and cold temperatures
4- The process of production is timeconsuming but necessary. A crew of 3-5 craftsmen are working together on each house all the way until it is finished inside the factory. Customers are invited to the fabric to see the becomming of their future house and to make adjustments they couldn`t think of in the design and drawing face. For a foreigner this might not seem attractive, but it is still possible. You can even supervise the construction on the web live. When they are finished, the logs are put inside containers and then rebuilt in their new surrondings by the same crew that carved it
5- The carvings that can be made on the house and on additional products also have special features... norse mythology...

from your body. Air is medicine."
Lillian Russell (1862-1922),
