Here's a link to more  photos of, and about Scott Speicher.
Supporters of Scott Speicher (below) who attended the July 15th, 2003 meeting at Nathan B. Forrset High School, Scott's alma mater.  The meeting was great, and included updates on the efforts to bring Scott home, as well as comments from supporters, upcoming events, and a slide presentation of "Heroes" by a 6th grade class in Jacksonville.  As far as I'm concerned, these people can be added to the list of heroes --
Email from one of Scott's many Supporters

Monday, July 21st 2003 - I received the following email from the Friends Working to Free Scott Speicher, which included this heart-warming message from one of Scott's Supporters. I think you'll like it:

"Dear Friends of Spike,

On July12th, Scott Speicher's Birthday, I was on Southwest Flight 2659 heading for a business trip to Burbank Ca.  I wrote a short note to the pilot and asked if he would announce that today was Scott Speichers Birthday and please explain who he was.  I thought I'd ask, it certainly couldn't hurt.

About midway through the flight, Southwest Pilot Capt. Don"OSO" Marbach (formerly USAF F-16 pilot) announced, 'Today July 12, is Capt Scott Speicher's Brithday and he has been missing in Iraq for 12 years, it would be his 46th Birthday.'  The passengers clapped, sheered and roared at this announcement.  It brought tears to my eyes, knowing that regular people are aware and vigilant too!!

Still praying for his safe return,"

Anna Weddington

-- God Bless both this woman who wrote the email, and the pilot who made the announcement.  --
