USS SARATOGA, or "Super Sara," has been the underway home for the Gunslingers more than any other carrier.  Her heritage and proud service speaks for itself.  Thank you SARA and all the men and women who served on her.  She's a museum now, but needs your support.

Check out her website...
Creighton Henthorn Jr is a gifted modeler!  Check out his craftsmanship on the A-7 he did for the Gunslingers. This photo is just one - check out the rest at his website!

Jacksonville Maritime Museum
Jacksonville, Florida

This wonderful museum, located downtown, next to the Friendship Fountain on the southbank of the riverwalk, has a full history and exhibits filled with Jacksonville's maritime heritage.

I am especially fond of the immaculate model of USS SARATOGA (CV-60) there, which is over TEN FEET LONG!

It is staffed by wonderful folks who simply love Jacksonville and want to share it's history with everyone.
My boys loved going there!

You gotta check this place out!

Great website for contacting friends and shipmates.  Air, Surface, Sub - wherever you served.  This is how I contacted most of my fellow VA-105 alums.  You can leave bulletin messages, etc.

Nikki Mendicino is an incredible American!  She's received numerous awards, accolades and recognition for her neverending efforts to bring home our POW/MIAs.  I am honored to have met and talked with her about Scott Speicher, and her work.

My comments here don't do her justice - find out yourself what she's done for America, veterans and all, at her website!

Did I mention that Nikki's not yet old enough to vote?  Look out Washington!!!
