UPCOMING EVENTS
Interact is...
...a club for high schoolers who are interested in participating in community service throughout their community and internationally.
...the high school version of the Rotary Club.  Rotary has been an internationally recognized service organization since its start in 1905, now with over 30,000 clubs in 166 countries.  Rotary is committed to causes like eradicating polio and providing wheel chairs for the poor.
...unlike any other service club.  The Gunn Interact club not only does the usual volunteer events, but also boasts activities such as the annual Tijuana trip, the annual retreat, and Camp RYLA, a leadership camp that most people find to be a life-changing experience.
...a far-reaching network of people.  The Gunn Interact Club is part of Area 13 in District 5170, which is, with 78 clubs, the biggest of all Interact Districts in the world.  Interact reaches almost as far internationally as its parent organization, Rotary, with over 8,600 in 110 countries.  Gunn Interact will often participate in activities with other schools in our area and district.
...a great way to help your community and the global community.  Every year, Gunn Interactors participate in dozens of service projects, including spending 4 days building houses in Tijuana, Mexico and doing various activities from car washes to serving ice cream to veterans. ...a nice addition to any student's college application. Though many people begin doing service to augment their applications, they often find it so enjoyable they continue throught their lives.
...fun.  Whether doing service with old friends or making new ones, there are few more enjoyable or rewarding ways that students can spend their time.
If you find an error on any of our activity lists or tallies, please notify us via e-mail right away and the correction will be made promptly.
