Morattab Morattab-Landrover
Morattab motor company of Farsi, Iran began to build its Landrover’s models in 1970 under licence from Santana. They received CKD 88" and 109" kits from Spain to build Santana based vehicles. Morattab has evolved its vehicles in its own way as Santana did from Land Rover.

Santana eventually sold on their entire Series IV / 2500 production line to Morattab in 1995. Morattab modernized the design and soon introduced its 3-door Pazhan 2400 GS, 4-door Pazhan 2400 GD and GSV station wagon. A GLD pick-up models was added to the range in 1999, with a 5-door Pazhan 2400 GL station wagon added in 2000. All the cars have 4x4 drive and Land Rover Defender style bodies, and are equipped with 2.4-litre 105 hp engines.

In 2004 the line up was updated with the introduction of a 5-door Pazhan 3000 GLV station wagon, 5-seat Pazhan 3000 GLD and a GLP pick-up. These vehicles are fitted with 3.0-litre 160 hp V6 engines.

Otokar-Landrover Otokar
The Turkish army put out a contract to up date its 4x4 vehicles with this in mind Otokar Motor company of Turkey approached Land Rover.

Otokar began to built Defender based Landrover’s under licence in 1987. Otokar produced D90, D110 and D130 vehicles Using the 2.5l four-cylinder 300Tdi engine models included Station Wagon, Hard Top, Single Cab Pick Up, Double Cab Pick Up and Fire tenders. The military range includes command vehicles, troop carriers, search and rescue vehicles, field workshop vehicles, weapon platforms, FFR and ambulances.

Otokar-Landrovers have been supplied to the Iraqi government, the company are also registered NATO suppliers.

In the early 1990's, Otokar developed Turkey's first 4x4 light-armoured tactical wheeled vehicles; the 'Akrep' and 'Otokar APC' are both armoured Defender derivatives. They also produce the 'Cobra' developed with AM General this vehicle incorporates parts from the Humvee.

Karmann-Landrover Karmann
The Karmann-Ghia do Brasil Ltda car plant is a subsidiary of the Wilhelm Karmann GmbH. They built Defenders using Land Rover CKD kits between 1999 and 2006. D90, D110 and D130 vehicles have been built both civilian and military models.

Around 5000 have been produced with a locally built Land Rover licenced Maxion 300Tdi engine, over-all around 40% of the vehicle parts were sourced in Brazil.
