OCEAN

sometimes you feel like an ocean
every breeze brings an emotion
salted like the tears i cry
the answers that won't tell us why

dreams of you in which i live
pulling me closer to the cliff
i know that soon i'm going to fall
just for you, i'll lose it all

this night that casts its gloom on me
the deepest depth of your endless sea
driftng with you into the abyss
the journey brings such senseless bliss

when we reach our destination
i know i'll face eternal damnation
face first like an anchor in the ocean floor
you'll walk away and klock the door

no light, no air, no you
my life sails away and your ship leaves my view
left here to die in this cave where i stand
this place that is home an illusion of land

there is no sanctuary, nowhere to escape
sorrow captures me like a velvet cape
if i could walk on water perhaps you'd stay
but i think we both know you'd leave either way
