HOCKEY TEAM
Welcome to the web home of the Gillette Thunder Edge Hockey Team from Gillette, Wyoming. As THE adult hockey organization in Gillette, the Thunder Edge Hockey Team is a B-Level, competative, no-check, adult hockey team for players of all skill level.
We compete in several tournaments throughout the season which includes the End of the Road!!! held in Rapid City, S.D. We also host our own tournament in Gillette, the "Battle in the Barn," which has become an annual hockey event for B-Level adult hockey teams from Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana area.

1-30-05: Sheridan Tops Thunder Edge at "Battle in the Barn"
In the 2nd annual "Battle in the Barn" hockey tournament held in Gillette, Wyoming, the Sheridan Stars avenged their round robin loss against Gillette Thunder Edge with a win in the Championship Game 8-4. Gillette Thunder Edge was 3-0 after round robin play heading into the championship game. Sheridan, on the other hand, had a slightly harder road to travel to get into the championship game. With an opening night loss to the Thunder Edge team, and a win against "Team Chaos," it took an overtime shootout victory against the Rushmore Road Kill to put Sheridan in the championship. In the end, it was a good tournament, with good competition, and quality hockey all around. Thanks to all of the teams who attended this year's tournament and a special thanks to the rouge hockey players from around the area for rostering with "Team Chaos," for without them, we would not have been able to hold the tournament. Final results are as follows:
1st Place - Sheridan Stars
2nd Place - Gillette Thunder Edge
3rd Place - Rushmore Road Kill
4th Place - Team Chaos
7-16-04: Date Set for Annual "Battle in the Barn" Tournament
Thanks to the cooperation with the Campbell County Parks and Rec and the Ice Rink, we were able to get our tournament scheduled for January 14, 15, & 16, 2005. For more information, visit the "Battle in the Barn" information page.
