Rural and Social Development Organisation is a Rajasthan (India) based non-political, non-communal, non-profitable and non-governmental organization established in 2001 under Societies Registration Act 1860. GSVS is the manifestation of turbulence within the heart of 7 friends who internalized the pain of the people leading their life in drudgery and crisis. They turned their career as social activists and took to the cause of poor.

The organization will similarly strive to serve poor and deprived sections of society so that no one suffers the pain of hunger, exploitation, ignorance and social discrimination. The organization will attempt to educate, organize and empower the poorest of the poor by promoting 'Development' as a liberating force. Development will comprise the promotion of social justice, economic growth, self-reliance as well as health, food and education of the deprived of the deprived sections of society.
