GSGS Employee Survey Results

The following report summarizes the results of the Employee Opinion Survey
administered in October 2003 to the employees of the Division Business and
Professional Programs, the Division of Humanities, Arts and Sciences and all
related management and administrative functions. The final number of
respondents, 42 (forty-two), represents a very high response rate on the part
of GSGS employees and ensures that the results have a high likelihood of
representing the collective view.

Administered as an on-line assessment via Advanced Surveys
(www.AdvancedSurvey.com), the survey was designed to elicit numerical ratings
and open-ended comments from employees at every level.

Survey items and the responding summary report provide subjective data on the
following category areas:

Survey items were phrased positively so that respondents simply had to indicate
their level of agreement with a given statement, (e.g. "I like working here")
[strongly agree to strongly disagree].

Group Rankings

The above rankings represent the total survey categories listed from #1, "Highest
Level of Agreement" to #11, "Lowest level of agreement". Implications are that
the higher the rating number, (e.g. #11), the greater the level of disagreement
and concerns voiced about that category.
