It is one of the hardest things I have had to do online, but CL- GRX Racing has offcially shut down Monday, July 5th, 2004. After all the changes that have been done to ASRA and all the drivers leaving CL- GRX Racing will now shut down. The site will remain up but it is un-certain how long it will be up and running.
Thank you,
Brian Schoenburg

News:
After alot of thought ASRA will take the weekend of July 3rd and 4th off, not only because of the Holiday but also because of lack of competition, site updates, points updates. From what I have been told Frankie is gathering and trying to make the points get updated. Look for lots of rules changes and hopefully alot more people to get ASRA going again. If anyone in ASRA needs a ride I myself have some seats open here at CL- GRX Racing...

Pro-Cup @ Kansas: Noren Edges Faust for Pro-Cup Win:
Race Report:
The ASRA Pro Cup race was moved from Nashville Superspeedway to Kansas due to issues with the track racing surface. The 41 lap dash was capped off with a last lap pass for the lead.

Turn two seemed to be calamity corner early. The race started out with a bang on lap 1 with a two car crash in turn two. Bo Noren got loose and spun into Greg Snider causing the first caution of the day. The second yellow came out when Matt Barnett lost control of his #9 Dodge in the same area as Noren's crash. The next yellow came out on lap 19 when Tom Czerwinski lost control of his car out of turn two. After flat spotting his tires, he then drove and spun it out in turn three, almost taking out Bo Noren. No caution came out after Rogern Nebelsick crashed on Lap 29, so the leaders kept racing. Alex Faust led the majority of the laps and twice saved his car from spinning out. But by doing that, he was cutting down a right front tire. Trying to hold a six second lead, he smacked the wall coming out of turn four, coming down for two laps to go. Finally with the tire almost gone, Bo Noren passed him out of turn two on the final lap and pulled away, capturing his second win of the year.
Lap 39: Alex Faust hit's the turn 4 wall.
Bo Noren (02) Edges Alex Faust (13) For the Win.
