links Page Pics Page Reloading Page R/C Car stuff Rabbit Hunters Coyotes

This is my little page that I will tell you about me and what I do. There is some new stuff. I'm doing some changes from time to time. The newest thing is the Rabbit hunters link. I'm meeting a lot of good people that has visited my page, and hope you enjoy it.

About me:

I live in Akron, Ohio. I'm married and have three children. I like to go camping, hunt, fish, and wheel my Suzuki Samurai.

My Equipment:

Remington Mohawk 600 .222 with a 3x9x40 Simmons scope. This is my walking gun it weighs around 6 lbs. and you can carry it without getting tired.
Ruger M77 VT .25-06 with a 6.5x20x44AO Simmons scope. This is my bench gun its HEAVY! so, it stays on top of the truck.
Ruger 10/22 .22 with a 4x32 Weaver scope. This gun i use for those 50 yrd. or less shots that come up alot where I hunt.
T/C Encore .44 Rem. Mag with a 2.5x8x28 Weaver pistol scope. I have this set up for a deer gun but, I'm going to get a .17 Rem bbl. so I can varmint hunt with it.

Tasco and Simmons Binoculars, my version of Varmint Al's Bi-Fur-pod, the only difference is that I made mine 48" long so I can use them as a walking stick. I use Scerry calls Eastern kit and howler for Coyotes. My other calls are a crow call, and a squirrel call instead of whistleing to make the groundhogs to stand up for a shot (sometimes it works better).

This was my new toy in the making, but funds have come a little short right now. I will be purchaseing a Virgin Valley pistol barrel for my Encore, The specs Are .17 Rem. 15 in. with a removeable brake stainless steel with their scope mount and the scope that will be on it is a Leupold 4x12x40 AO. I'll post when I get it.

I'm now useing Fastex on all of my guns and bullets. I don't want to use Moly I don't have the time for it, Fastex is realy simple, fast, and easy to apply.

Every time I go out varmint hunting I always take my fanny pack and my BI-fur-pods. In my pack I have my calls, ammo, 2 way FRS BAND radio, a disposable camera, a small first aid kit, and a knife. This set up is great,I can carry my .222 rifle and gear across a field and not get tired of lugging it around.

Here in Ohio its is legal to hunt out of the back of a pick-up for varmints, as long as you dont use it as a power source. It makes a great platform use the cab for a rest, and you get the elavation that you need sometimes. If you have any questions about the legality of this, contact the O.D.N.R.Ohio Division Of WildlifeThis is their web page, you can also call them.
