Lambda Task Force
Welcome to the Official Lambda Task Force website. Lambda Task Force (LTF) is a clan for Half-Life and Half-Life mods such as FireArms and Counterstrike. Founded in February 2001, Lambda Task Force has risen above the great challenges of clan establishment that all too often bring about the downfall of a promising new clan.
The first two months of LTF's existence were easy by no means. The clan's founder, GrimReaper5, had only a single recruit (DarkPegasus7) after three weeks of vigorously searching the Half-Life community. When the two weren't looking for potential recruits, they were discussing new ways to find members. The future of Lambda Task Force was tainted with doubt.
Inspired by a new strategy, GrimReaper5 and DarkPegasus7 set out to show the online gaming world what they were made of. As their reputation grew, many players were eager to teach them a thing or two. Most of the time, these challengers were unable to defeat either of the two clan members. There were many occaisions when they were defeated, but that did not undermine their determination. In fact, a great deal of those who defeated them were willing to give them a few pointers. Things were improving, and the future of Lambda Task Force was no longer so bleak.
During the third month, Lambda Task Force recruited four new members with exceptional talent. The first of these skilled new recruits was E}{orcist. Due to his exceptional skill in Opposing Force, he was soon appointed Division Leader. FluffyBunny was the second new recruit in the month of May. Despite the rather unusual name, Fluff is among LTF's most skilled members in the FireArms arena. Second only to DarkPegasus7 in FireArms, FluffyBunny is a veteran player whose cunning is umatched. The last two recruits, +Mak0+ and E-bola, are cousins and often play together. Recruited by GrimReaper5 himself, these two recruits were given the position of Team Leader. +Mak0+ is leader of Team B, and E-bola, Team C. Mak0's weapon of choice is the M16-A2, equipped with a grenade launcher. E-bola will use anything (except the Steyr Aug) necessary to get the job done.
Finally, after three months of hard work, applications began to pour in. The clan's determination and perseverance were beginning to yield results. It is quite apparent now that Lambda Task Force is growing steadily both in size and in skill. Although LTF currently has only eighteen members, it is expected to become one of the most formidable clans the multiplayer world has ever seen.
