Some Facts that have been found.
1. The Grimason Family at times have adopted the Grimshaw surname
one particular family have even adopted the Harris surname. The
proof of this is by way of the Probate of John GRIMASON otherwise
GRIMSHAW as per probate listing in the Will Index held in Dublin
Ireland. " GRIMSHAW otherwise GRIMASON John { 142 } 1 May 1903 Probate
of the will of John GRIMSHAW otherwise GRIMASON late of Kilmoiraty
County Armagh Farmer who died 5 February 1903 granted at Armagh
to William GRIMSHAW otherwise GRIMASON Farmer."

1881 Census of Lanark, Scotland, the above Family was listed under
the Grimshaw surname.
1891 Census of Lanark, Scotland, the above Family was listed under
the Grimshaw surname.
3. Robert Henry Grimason ( Grimmason on Application of Crown Grant
(see below)) ( Grimshaw in "GANGES" clipper ship manifest ( see
index cards) below. The "GANGES" arrived at Auckland, New Zealand
on 14th February 1865 ex Queenstown now known as Chob, County Cork,
Ireland. Note also the passenger index cards for the "Waikato Immigration
Scheme" as below.
I Have since found evidence of Robert using the Grimason surname
here in New Zealand as late as 1876 concerning a court case about
a smoking pipe.
