"I saw behind me all who had gone, and before me those who are to come. I looked back and saw my father and his father and all our fathers and in front of me to see my son and his son and the sons upon sons beyond. As I felt so they had felt and were to feel, as then so now, as tomorrow and forever. Then I was not afraid, for I was in a long line that had no beginning and no end. And the hand of his father grasped my father's hand and his hand was in mine and my unborn son took my right hand and down the line that stretched from Time That Was to Time That Is Not Yet, raised their hands to show the link. And we found that we were one, born of Woman, Son of Man, made in the Image, fashioned in the womb by the Will of God, the Eternal Father. I was of them, they were of me, and in me, and I in all of them."

A History of the family of Max Eugene Griffith

Our branch of the Griffiths family is a mixture of the Welsh, Scots, and English heritages.  We have an equal amount of Scottish as we do Welsh, since my GGrandfather Griffiths  was from Wales and my GGrandmother Bain  was from Scotland. I believe that the Graves have been in America for quite awhile, but are originally from England and maybe Ireland.  GGrandfather Wheeler was adopted, so you will have to read on to hear the real heritage of that side of the family.

I hope this site makes you more aware and proud of your heritage.  We have worked many hours on it, but have enjoyed each one, in the hopes that in the future, someone else in our family will feel the same fire in his blood for his past as Dad and I do. Our ancestors live on in us and there are times during my research and listening to traditional songs, that something strikes a cord within my soul, and I know a part of me, on some level, is familiar with it.

I have learned a lot, and I couldn't have begun to complete this monumental task without Dad.  This site will never be truly finished, as long as there are roots to dig into and future generations being born.
