The Simon Wiesenthal

    Simon Wiesenthal was born in 1908.  He lived in what is now called Lvov Oblast a part of the Ukraine.  His life was good until 1939 when Germany and Russia sign their "non-aggression" pact.  Soon after Russia began to purge of the Jewish population from Lvov.  In 1941 the Germans took Lvov.  Wiesenthal was sent to work at a force labor camp.  In 1945 Wiesenthal's labor camp Mauthausen was liberated.  He was soon reunited with his wife.  As soon as his health returned he began gathering Nazi war crimes information.  From that time on he and a few associates have helped capture many Nazi war criminals.  One major person Wiesenthal help capture was Adolf Eichman.
