ALLY MCBEAL

She’s every guy’s dream (look at the way she dances!) and most women’s envy. Like her, this soundtrack is perky, romantic, fuzzy, light-hearted and fun. Hooked by the dancing baby? This album featuring Ms Vonda Shepherd includes the cover of the 50s hit ‘Hooked On A Feeling’. Hooga Hooga Shaga Shaga… a contagious tune along with smartly selected oldies make this a must-buy for all Ally-fans.

CITY OF ANGELS

It is not at the peak of the billboard album chart for no reason. This compilation features sad soulful tunes by Grammy-winners Sarah Mclachlan, Paula Cole and Alanis Morisette. Look out also for Goo Goo Dolls' latest song written especially for this love story. The bonus instrumental tracks by Gabriel Yared (Oscar winner for 1996's Best Dramatic Score - The English Patient) makes this soundtrack all the more irresistable.

DEEP IMPACT

A beautiful soundtrack containing the moving pieces prominently heard in the film. Adding to James Horner's list of impressive works (Legends of the Fall, Titanic, Braveheart... ) this record is recommended to lovers of orchestral soundtracks and the sappy moments in the film.

ARMAGEDDON

A rock compilation featuring Aerosmith, Bon Jovi, Shawn Colvin and many others. A mediocre record doing surprisingly well on the billboard chart. "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing", written by Diane Warren (Because You Loved Me) is gainly popularity as quickly as the box-office smash and it also sees the come back of Steven Tyler's band who did a few tracks on the album.

THE MASK OF ZORRO

Another soundtrack produced by James Horner, this record contains the cool stylish drum-beats associated with Zorro. Its theme is soft and variances of it is sampled throughout the soundtrack. Although not as outstanding as Titanic, The Mask Of Zorro soundtrack is a fine record of orchestral pieces with Spanish influences and a Latin taste. A freshing change of style for Horner who has become much too associated with Irish flutes these days. The theme song of the picture, "I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You", is lusciously peformed by Marc Anthony and Tina Arena (Chains).

JOHN WILLIAM'S FILMWORKS

This is a compilation of some of John Williams' most memorable and distinguished soundtrack scores since the 70s. He is the genius behind the themes of Superman, E.T, Indiana Jones and Schindler's List to name a few- many of which are Speilberg's best works. A true veteran in the field, John has his own 102-piece orchestra, the Boston Pops, commanding an ever so grand and powerful style in his scores. Other familiar tunes also included in this 71:34 running soundtrack are the themes of Jaws, Far and Away and Dracula. This wonderful collection is a must get not only for fans of orchestral soundtracks, but also those reminiscent of these classic tunes. Released originally in 1997, this album also contain the main themes of The Jurassic Park series.
