Coven is a multiplayer interactive medieval adventure game (a MUD). It is text based, but supports ANSI color and RIP graphics.

The Darkness has fallen on the world and the Castle Tintagel needs good men and women to help defend the realm. Team up with other adventurers and help kill vampires, orcs, goblins and dragons in the quest to save the realm.

Coven is a new mud that uses the Archipelago code base. It is an all original mud with new zones, allows multiclassing and uses the Ars Magica Game System where casting is virtually cost-free. The system is a bit hard to learn to start off, but it is worth the hassle as all the spells are very good and very different to any other stock mud. Any character can learn skills and spells, but some are harder to learn than other depending on the race. Pkilling is allowed but it is very restricted. The gods are always friendly and will always be of help when needed.
