The ordering of the information on this page:

1. What kind of leftwing group (Trotskyism etc.). I'm not a purist when I put a label on a group, therefore I i.e. put the label Trotskyist on many groups who would never accept some of the others as Trotskyists.

2. Geographical area.

The editorial policy of this page:

The editorial policy is democratic and liberal (in the best sense of the word), but is biased by my personal preferences. Due to a shortage of time, I can't possibly spend my time searching for any socialist link there is, and therefore have to make priorities.

I'm most interested in giving information on revolutionary Marxism in all its varities (e.g. Trotskyism and "ultraleft" Marxism as well as non-Trotskyist and non-"ultraleft"), "ultraleftism" beyond anarchism and Marxism, class struggle anarchism and syndicalism, leftwing socialism and democratic and liberal (in the best sense of the word) socialism.

I'm less interested in giving information on social democracy, Stalinism (whether pro-Soviet, pro-Chinese Maoism, pro-Albanian or pro-Cuban), socialist and non-socialist nationalists (whether Western or Third World), bourgeois anarchism (i.e. pacifist marihuana anarchism), individual terrorists etc., but due to my democratic and liberal editorial policy and the need to give information on hegemonic political tendencies (e.g. the hegemonic influence of social democracy and Stalinism on the labor movement in many countries), I'll give info on political tendencies I find directly harmful as well. Many selfproclaimed socialists and communists support antiworkingclass leaders like Willy Brandt, Einar Gerhardsen, Stalin, Brechnev, Mao, Enver Hoxha, Fidel Castro, Nelson Mandela, Yasir Arafat etc., i.e. any kind of socialdemocratic, Stalinist, nationalist etc. misleader of the working class. Instead of supporting the toiling majority of a nation, they support any kind of nationalist misleaders fighting for a greater share of the exploitation of their "own" working class and people.

The editor of this page was born, grew up and lives in Norway, with a native language (Norwegian) which is much similar to English and in a country where English is the first foreign language. Therefore most of the links are English language, but I try and put some non-English language links here as well.

The spartacists are extremely hardcore Trotskyists originating in the Socialist Workers Party of the USA in the early 1960s. The SWP was in the 1950s part of the ICFI (the International Committee of the Fourth International), the professed orthodox competitor of the USFI. The SWP are now ex-Trotskyist Castroists. David North's ICFI with its Social Equality Parties are a sorry excuse for a real ICFI. The Spartacists had to fight the American Healyites when they founded the Spartacist tendency.
There was an orthodox opposition in the SWP of Robertsonites (named after Founding Father James Robertson of the American Spartacists) and Healyites (named after the then British ICFI leader Gerry Healy). SWP had at the time begun its slide towards Castroism. In 1989 the international Spartacist tendency founded the International Communist League.
