       The Greenfield Family's ancestors came from Nottingham, England to Baltimore (now Harford)County, Maryland in the mid 1600s where many continued to live for the next 300 years.
    Read their letters from the 1850s written to Samuel K. J. Greenfield.  Discover how they felt about love and marriage, family conflicts, religion, farming and life and death.  Samuel died in 1861 eight months before the birth of his son, Samuel Beauregard Greenfield, shown in the background picture with his wife, Willana Black and daughter Cassie.
