Like most of the Seishi (Suzaku or otherwise), Nuriko has a pretty painful past. When he was ten, his younger sister Kourin (who he was really close to) died; so, he decided to... become her (^^;;), so that she would always be with him. That meant he always dressed as a girl, wearing make-up and all that (well, it actually wasn't that hard for him, since he's so beautiful... *dreamy sigh*). "Kourin" eventually went to live in the palace, where he/she constantly tried to make Hotohori fall in love with him/her... ^^;;
In the beginning, Nuriko and Miaka don't get along very well (mainly because everybody falls in love with Miaka... which, to tell you the truth, I really don't understand... *frown*). However, they soon become best buddies, and Nuriko starts accepting his past, and his sister's death, and he reverts to being masculine again. ^_^
Nuriko didn't used to be one of my favourite Seishi, but somewhere along the way (possibly when he dies... *sniffle*), I guess I fell in love with him... ^_^ |
