Food Information

Below is the food information and what you do when you arrive to the festival.

Appetizers:
Manestra- Baked orzo in chicken broth with parmesan cheese
Greek Salad- Romaine lettuce with tomatoes, onions, feta cheese, and black olives
Spanakopita- A mixture of spinach, feta, other cheeses, and spices wrapped between layers of flaky filo
Dolmadakia- Grape leaves stuffed with ground beef and rice simmered in flavorful broth
Entrees:
Gyro- Spiced beef on pita bread with choice of onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki (cucumber sauce)
Souvlaki Wrap- Chicken kabobs on pita bread with choice of onions, lettuce, tomatoes and tzatziki (cucumber sauce)
Vegetable Wrap- Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki wrapped in pita bread
Chicken Dinner- Grilled chicken spiced with Greek seasonings served with manestra, Greek salad, and dinner roll
Pastitsio- Baked macaroni layered with seasoned ground beef topped with bechamel sauce
Souvlaki- Chicken kabob on a stick
Chicken Psiti- Grilled chicken spiced with Greek seasonings
Desserts:
Baklava- Layers of light, flaky filo with walnuts and spices and coated with a sweet syrup
Flogeres- Layers of light, flaky filo with walnuts and spices rolled, baked, and covered with a sweet syrup
Kataifi- Shredded wheat filled with walnuts and spices baked and covered in a sweet syrup
Galaktobouriko- Layers of light, flaky filo filled with custard and covered with a sweet syrup
Kourambiedes- Powdered sugar butter cookies
Melomacarona- Spiced cookie with walnuts dipped in a sweet syrup
Baklava Ice Cream- Layers of light flaky filo (baklava) topped off with vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup
What You Do When You Arrive at the Food Festival:

1. Please look at one of the menus taped to the wall.  If you have any questions about the food, please ask a volunteer.

2. Please give your order to a volunteer.  He/she will mark it on your order form.

3. While your meal is being prepared, please look at our pastries and feel free to ask questions about them.  If you would like to order some pastries, please give your order to a volunteer.

4. Please pay at the register when you are finished ordering.  Your food should then be ready.

5. Enjoy your Greek food!!!
