The 95th anniversary of the Iranian constitutional revolution has been chosen to launch "Great Civilization" web site, in the memory of all those Iranian nationalists who have died for their motherland. In the 20th century, enemies of Iran have not lost any opportunity to demoralize, belittle or destroy the achievements of our people. As the world developed and science and technology advanced, the foes of our state and our nation - foreigners as well as ill-informed Iranians - used the latest methods to tarnish the truth, hide the reality and destroy the patriots. Hence the result has been nothing but the near annihilation of Iran. The purpose of this site is not to remind us of the destruction which began in 1979. Our aim is to tell the new generation of Iranians who were either too young to remember or not born, where we were heading and what were our plans before the islamic republic. On "Great Civilization" we revisit Iran from the turn of the century and travel through time for 79 years. We will embark on a journey that will take us from our darkest days where we had no sanitation, running water, electricity, schools and hospitals, transportation and safety, national sovereignty or military strength, to the time where we owned one of the fastest growing economies, some of the best educational institutes with one of the highest rates of university graduates in the world, the introduction of nuclear power, the fifth strongest non-nuclear armed forces and the highest rate of GNP among the developing nations. Hence, this site is dedicated to the memory of the man and all those who through their hard work pushed Iran to the peak of her glorious modern history.
