Grays Peak is 4 miles south of Exit 221 on Interstate 70.  Grays is the highest peak in both Clear Creek and Summit Counties.  Grays is the highest peak on the Continental Divide in Colorado.  In fact, Grays is the highest peak on the Continental Divide between the origin of the Pacific-Atlantic divide on Snow Dome in the Canadian Rockies, and the Mexican border.  (Colorado's Fourteeners From Hikes to Climbs, Gerry Roach)
