The Granville Garden Club was organized in 1931 to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening among amateurs. The first Daffodil Show was held in 1945. Since that time the show has grown from 94 specimens to more than 400 specimens that you will see each year.

Through the years the Club has planted daffodils in the village and at the schools. In addition the Club has established the Memorial Tree Fund, maintained the grounds and plantings of the Robbins-Hunter Museum, the Granville Library Court, and the downtown village planters. The Garden Club has also provided for the education of children through the Granville Junior Gardener program and has recently established an annual scholarship for a Granville High School Senior, who has best exhibited the ideals of the Garden Club.

During the winter months, the Club has traditionally turned its efforts to holiday decorations in various community buildings. Continued education of the membership has been achieved through informative programs and workshops at the monthly meetings held by the Club.
