They say memories are golden, well maybe that's true.
But we never wanted memories, We only wanted you.
A million times we've needed you.
A million times we've cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a special place that no one could ever fill.
If tears could build a staircase & heartaches build a lane.
We'd walk the path to Heaven & bring you back again.
Our Family chain is broken & nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

My Soul's Flight

My soul has taken its flight
Soaring above the clouds
Somewhere over the rainbow
In a land of peacefulness
Where there are no more tears
No pain
No parting
A place where I walk with God
Where I shall never grow old

Mourn not for me for my suffering
is finished
And I have been made whole
Be not saddened by my leaving
For God brushed away my tears
I have reached a land of endless day
Where the Son of God is the light
And night never falleth

I stroll the heavens praising my Creator
From the dust of the earth we all
were created
And to dust we shall return

But our souls sleep not for we have
passed from this life
Unto everlasting life

Unless our Lord returns for us
