The FS-128 and FS-128F are two versatile highly transportable 5" apochromatic refractors. With their multi-coated diffraction-limited optics, they produce the brightest possible images with outstanding contrast and color fidelity. Each has knife-edged baffles and the focuser painted inside with the same paint used on expensive 35mm cameras to eliminate internal light reflection. Their focal length of f/8.1 and f/5.9, with dedicated focal reducer, enable these instruments to be used as first rate wide field astrographs or lunar and planetary telescopes.

The FS-128 uses a 2.7" focuser and the FS-128F uses a 4" focuser. This is definite advantage for the serious astrophotographer. A 35mm, meduim format 6x7 vacuum holder, or 6x7 camera can be used to produce incredible astrophotos. The FS-128F opens new territory in astro-photography for 5" refractors. The dedicated reducer at f/5.9 produces a 63mm circle, while the dedicated flattener at f/9 produces an amazing 89mm circle on 6x7 film!

FS-152

The FS-152 is the newest addition to the Takahashi
ffluorite apochromatic FS-Series. It has been designed with the serious observer or astrophotographer in mind.

The 4" focuser is standard with a built-in camera angle adjuster. The camera angle adjuster enables the observer or astrophotographer to turn the ocular or camera 360 degrees to better view or frame an object to be photographed. In order to optimize the photo/visual use of the FS-152, a special f/5.9 reducer and f/8.1 field flattener have been designed. The custom reducer produces a 65mm circle, 4.1" across, on medium format film while the flattener will produce an incredible image circle of 90mm.

The standard EM-200 or optional NJP mounts provide a stable, accurate platform for the FS-152. The integral polar alignment telescope and R.A. axis level make accurate polar alignment to within 2 arc minutes of the celestial pole quick and easy. The reticle is designed to be used in either Hemisphere until the year 2030. No other manufacturer uses such a highly accurate polar telescope.

The FSQ-106 is a state-of-the-art fluorite refractor that sets a new standard for innovation and color correction. It is excellent as a astrograph, not exhibiting inherent problems with field curvature and astigmatism. Takahashi's modified Petzval design employs two widely separated rear elements to correct field curvature and astigmatism to produce a flat field, high contrast image without any hint of lateral color. This design produces an amazing 88mm image circle that will fully illuminate a 35, 645, or 6x7 medium format camera and vacuum back roll film holders.

The 4" apo refractor, has a built-in camera angle adjuster that permits 360° rotation of the camera, making the FSQ-106 the perfect astrograph. In fact, this outstanding instrument can be used with a 4x5 vacuum back camera! The exceptionally large image circle will permit the use of any CCD camera. The double fluorite design which forms an image free of any secondary color will produce exceptionally sharp, high contrast views of deep sky objects or total eclipses.

Sky-90 
The latest telescope model from Takahashi is a truly portable design. The 90mm (3½") f/5.6 fluorite doublet apochromatic optical system is of outstanding quality, with a focal length of 504mm. The optical tube assembly is only 13.8" long, weighing 7 pounds; small enough for an airline 'carry-on'. Not only is this instrument an excellent choice for astronomy, it can be used as a portable high-quality telescope for birding. The oversize focuser has an adapter for 2" and 1¼" diagonals, and accepts the FS series photographic adapters.
