The Graham Sea Training School for Boys | |||||||||||||||||||||
STAFF MEMORIES Some of the staff I remember... Click on any name below to see their own page Mr Herbert (Dacious) Headmaster. Mr Millward, Metalwork and Woodwork teacher, complete nutcase, met a sad end. Mr Ripon, seamanship teacher switched on bloke. Mr Hayes, maths teacher, mental case. Mr Feather Vince just told us Biggles stories, only got the job cause his dad was the ex headmaster. Only knew about Burma where he spent the war, when we had our CSE exams was as shocked as we were when he realised the subject was Sweden. Mr Grant English teacher, the best teacher I ever knew, God knows why he was there, but I am glad he was. Mr Barry Ex Boxer/Wrestler form teacher B Class of 69 - 70. Mrs Reynard The first female teacher at GST poor woman. Stan Wilson, school janitor, great guy taught me to splice wire when I was a fisherman. Every GST member I have met have been prone to the eccentric, me included, I never really understood why, until that is I started to recount my past school days, with the above bunch of masters who could have changed out any other way? Should have been called the Graham Loony Training School. Still have fond memories though, a definite school for those with a sense of humour. |
