Letter from an old schoolboy
Hi Billy,

Please give me a line when you are next surfing the GST waves, you have made a great job of the site it is very effective.

If more get to know the site from the old school it could lead to a re-union in the local at Scarborough. It would be very interesting to hear from old mates and to see how they have changed. I have previously attended an old mariners reunion in Liverpool from my college days, uni etc it was a great time and it has become a 5 yearly event.

The GST was definately an icon in its time (1909-1974) [I think the dates approximately right] and was well respected by many in both the town and education as I found later from Scarborough Tech. Many said it could have done with a spring clean but perhaps the uniquness of the school would have changed. I have always been pleased to have attended the school it does hold many fond and ruthless memories for me.

I am very involved in shipping and have met a number of  past 'old boys' from before my time (1940-60's). They always say that the school was special and will always be well remembered.

Keep in touch; with best regards,

Rick 'Fritzy' Kramer
