We only ever sang one hymn at GST every Friday and it was always acompanied by the only boy who could play the piano, Roy Haylet, poor lad how many times did he prepare himself for his virtuoso performance only to hear the muted notes coming out of the school piano, muted by lack of tuning? You may think, but nay, somebody had invariably inserted a school running shirt or an old pair of shorts inside the piano before he got ready to play. The hymn was....
