The Healing Garden Mud Bath and Spa is one of California's premier spa facilities. Located near the quiet town of Mendicino in Northern California, it is flanked by giant redwoods to the East and the Pacific Ocean to the West. The Healing Garden is a hidden treasure of Northern California, established in the 1930s as a private commune and organic farm. In 2004, a group of descendents of the original founders decided to take the rustic facilites that they had inherited and upgrade them and share them with the public.
The original commune, made up of over 300 acres of property, was built around one of the areas few natural hot springs and sources of usable mud. Taking advantage of the properties natural blessings, the group built an exclusive facility that includes private mudbaths and hot springs tucked in well-tended organic gardens, beautifully appointed suites available in several price ranges, an extensive spa where guests can recieve a wide range of theraputic treatments, and an in-house restaurant that serves cuisine made from the spas own organic gardens.
