Description!


The averages and figures were arrived at from a concensus of every Big Foot incident that we could find. They are just that, averages.

Height: between 6 feet to 13 feet, with an average of 8 feet.
Track size: between 11 inches and 20+ inches, with an average of 15-16 inches.
Color: From very light to black/ brown and gray, with an average coloring of Dark Brown or Black.
Weight: Unknown minimum, estimates as high as 600 lbs. estimated average between 200 and 300 lbs.
Posture: Is usually erect or slightly stooped.
Hair: Is normally short to medium in lenght and almost always straight. Unkempt as often as smooth. With no hair on the face or around the eyes. Longer hair on the head shoulders and back.
Face: Are flat with large flat noses. Lips thin to medium with large mouths. Long canine teeth were seldom reported.
Torso: Wide, and from the side more so. Legs in proportion. Arms mid thigh, Hands; Note; never described as paws or with claws.
Eye Color: Various colors have been described in contacts with the highest number being red. Note; This due to reflection of light during the sighting.
Smell: Descriptions include: overpowering, intolerable, putrid, foul and nauseating, etc. Possibly done to mask its own body odor?
Diet: Reports of Meat, vegetables, fruit, leaves, grubs. A wide variety.
Aggression: There are only seven (7) reported fatalities in all the reported contacts that we accessed. This does not denote a dangerous animal. Reports of injuries are even fewer. USE COMMON SENSE during any encounter!

What is Bigfoot!

Consensus of the team is that we do not know what he/it is. There is several opinions among researchers as to what he/it is. Some of these include: Gigantopithecus, Homo Erectus, Relic Neanderthal, or a complete new species that has not been quote, "Discovered" unquote, yet. How ever there are too many reports to doubt that something is out there in the woods. The Debate will go on until the first real evidence is found or until the scientists accept some of the evidence that is already in hand. Until then the research is ongoing and the Raven Team will be concentrating its investigation in one area.
