In San Joaquin County on any given night there are 2,200 to 2,700 individuals without homes to go to.

40% or 1,200 of those people are in
families, the majority of whom are women heads of household with children under the age of 12.

95% of the
single homeless population is male with more than 70% between the ages of 18 and 40.

Homeless families and singles have some things in common - low incomes, inadequate access to transportation, marginal job opportunities and a lack of planning and financial management skills.

Available programs at the Gospel Center Rescue Mission include:

Emergency Lodge for single men; New Hope Family Shelter for single women, women with children, men with children, couples and couples with children; New Life Treatment Program  for men;  Representative Payee Services; Supportive Housing Program and Transitional Housing.

Each year the Gospel  Center Rescue Mission    has around 1,800 individuals who put their heart into volunteering time and Services to help provide a place for the homeless to be safe, eat and sleep. Volunteers come in as groups to do projects and as individuals doing various projects.  Some do things at home like sewing or collecting needed items for the Rescue Mission.

If you would like a place to volunteer,
