BLAIR came to power with a statement "Education,
Education, Education" Although education is important,
without salvation it's like the solar system without the sun. Everyone of us
must one day appear before God and give an account of our lives. "For
He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the Man He has
appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising Him from the dead"
(1) On that coming day, our education, or lack of it,
will be of no value whatsoever. What now counts for us is our salvation. Only
the salvation that is found in Jesus Christ can now save us from God's righteous
judgement and its awful consequences. To neglect or reject the salvation God
has provided for us thorough His Son, will only result
in an eternal catastrophe and the destruction of our souls.
"How shall we escape if we neglect so great a SALVATION?"
(2) Everyone needs salvation. It's our only hope of
escaping God's wrath and experiencing His grace and mercy. Like
many, I was searching for the truth. I was taught we all derived from primates,
but what if the theory of evolution was wrong? I'd be going to hell for sure.
Well I tried all kinds of beliefs in search of salvation. I tried Jehovah's
Witnesses, the teaching of Buddha, I read Confucius until I was confused,
and I studied horoscopes until the scope of my horror increased.
I even looked in my tea leaves, just to find it was all a load of "Typhoo".
I was about
to
give up my search, when I read through the New Testament and discovered that,
"Salvation is found in no-one else, because there
is no other name under heaven given to men by which
we must be saved".
(3) Only through Jesus Christ can we receive salvation.
Jesus is not one of the ways to God - He is the only way. He
is "the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except
through Him".
(4)People can believe in anyone they want to, but only
Jesus can save us, no-one else can - our education certainly won't. Some of
the disciples were an educated lot, but they knew Jesus and His Salvation.
When Zacchaeus met Jesus for tea, Jesus said "Today
salvation has
come
to this household" (5) The same is true for you.
Today this same message has come to your household. Right now Jesus is knocking
on the door of your heart. He wants to come in now. The Bible says, Now
is the time of God's favour, now is the day of salvation" (6)
Repent right now of all doubt, unbelief, false religion,false ideas, theories,
superstition and wrong beliefs. Turn to the Lord now. Only Jesus died on the
cross for you and rose again. Salvation is found in no-one else. He alone is
Saviour of the world and especially your own soul. Call upon Him now, "For
everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord Will Be Saved".
(7) On the day of judgement it won't matter whether you were educated or uneducated,
rich or poor, black or white, what really matters is your Salvation,Salvation,Salvation!
And this is no D.T.Y. - only Jesus can give you salvation.
Today is your day of salvation - call on Him now! Just say "Jesus I'm a
sinner and need your salvation. Please forgive my sins and help me to follow
You from now on"
(1) Begin today to read the New Testament in the
Bible. Because "The Gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone
who believes"
(2) Go to a Bible believing, Born again, Spirit
filled church and enquire about water baptism as soon as possible. Jesus said
"Whoever(this includes you and me) believes and is baptised will be saved.
And whoever does not believe will be condemned. If you have given up meeting
together with other believers, start back this week. One day soon Jesus is
returning for His church.
(3) Begin at once to pray for your family to be
saved - you and your household. Share the good news with others, don't keep
it to yourself.
(4) Endure and overcome everything. Keep your faith
in Jesus alive to the very end of your life. Remember, he who endures to the
end shall be saved. "For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall
not perish but have eternal life".
Call on Jesus and be saved today.
