    Journal Entry #1

Journal entry #1: What story or stories were you told as a child to explain why something was/is the way it was/is? For instance, what respone did you get for "Why is the sky blue?" or "Where do babies come from?" etc. Pick a story and write your journal entry about this.
When I was little my mom used to always tell me stories. One story that I remember is the time I asked her "were babies come from"?. At first she did not know what to say because she was shocked and surprised. She said when I was old enough she would tell me. She never ended up telling me, but I found out on my own. I guess my mom didnt want me to know until she thought I was mature enough to know. She also could have been trying to prevent me from thinking of anything nasty or filled my mine with something bad because I was to young. Well thats one of many stories I remember.

#2: Pretend you are having a conversation with one of the Greek gods. Write a brief dialogue demonstrating what you would ask them and how they would answer you.
    Mike: what up Zeus
Zeus: hey kid, what do you want?
Mike: I want to ask you some questions
    Zeus: anything
Mike: how does it feel to be the most powerful greek god?
    Zeus: it feels great
Mike: would you ever want to be a human?
    Zeus: never
    Mike: why not?
Zeus: cause I have everything I desire as the most powerful god
Mike: I see, well that's it, bye
    Zeus: bye kid

    Journal Entry #3

#3: Why do you think things are the way they are? Who/what is responsible for our world? Explain!
There is a reason for why everything the way they are. I think God created a perfect world and commands for us to follow, for our own good. But we chose to ignore them and do things our own way. Man decided to have control over his own destiny and the world we have now is the result.

    Journal Entry #4

#4: Why are there unpleasant things in our world?
There are always unpleasant things in our world. I dont think unpleasant things will ever end. I think were there is good there is bad, were there is light there is dark. You wouldn't know if there was pleasant or unpleasant things in this world if you didnt have both. There are also some people who are just cruel because they get fun out of it. Sometimes it's fun, but not all the time. Being bad is a part of our nature since we were born. That's just the way things are. This is why I think there are unpleasant things in this world.

    Journal Entry #5

#5: If you had the powers of a Greek god, which god would you like to be? Describe the powers and explain how you would use them.
If I were a Greek god I would want to be Zeus. Zeus is the god of the sky and the most powerful god. I would use these powers the way I want to use them. I would take control over everything, as in I'm the master and everybody got to obey or else. It's probaly not the right way to use the poweres, but who cares no one can say anything to me. I would also have parties everyday, all day long. Well, to bad I'm not a god though.

    Journal Entry #6

6: Here is your Miss America question: If you could change one thing in the world/universe, what would it be?
If I could change one thing in the world it would be the killing of eachother. There is to many people murdering eachother and some people live in fear because of it. There is no reason to take somebody's life away. The only time I would agree about killing some one is if he killed one of your relative or close friends for no reason and he got sentenced to death. If he never killed, he wouldn't be killed. This is what I would change in the world.

    Journal Entry #7

#7: Why do people need an explanation for the world around them? Why can't humans be content with just "being"? Explain your answer in regards to our need for science/religion to give us answers.
Humans can't be content with just being because death is unavoidable. Since death comes to all men it benefits us to search out what comes out next. Religion gives us hope for the after life. Science gives us answers to medical questions and makes our life easier

    Journal Entry #9

Choose one of things from yesterday's entry that other people would agree with you about. In other words, your friends and family would certainly agree that you do know a lot about that area/subject. Then, write 10 sentences explaining what makes you an expert in this area/subject. Describe!
One thing that my family would agree on is sports. This is because I watch alot of sports. I know mosty about basketball and football. I also play basketball and football. I'm not an expert, but I'm good at both things. I have won many trophies for joining teams in both basketball and football. I won a championship trophy in baseball. Since I play and I'm good at sports, I know alot about sports and I know whats happening. I think I could broadcast a game if I wanted to. I think in order to know alot about something you need to experience that thing or do that thing for yourself. I also know alot cause my friends and I talk about alot about sports and girls. This is why I think I know alot about sports.

    Journal Entry #10

Choose an item from entry #8 that others MAY NOT know what an expert you are in that area. Describe what makes you knowledgeable. (If everyone would agree with everything on your list, simply choose another one to describe.
One thing people may not know that I know alot about is gangs. I'm knowledgable in this area because I know people that are in gangs. Some of these people are my friends, but most are not. My friends tell me everything about what they did and what they have to do to get in gangs. They tell me what flags or beads represent which gangs. I know alot more, but it's not appropiate. So the reason I know a lot about gangs is because of my friends.

    Journal Entry #11

    Decribe your bedroom
When you first walk in you see a bunk-bed. I share a room. Then to your right there is a T.V. The T.V is next to 2 windows. On the left on the windows are cabinets and all this other stuff. I also have a blue carpet. That's about it, my room is not that big.

    Journal Entry #12

    Describe the classroom
When you first walk in you see alot of computers. On the oppostie side of the room are windows. All the windows have gates on them. On the left side are closets. I don't think anybody uses them. Their is also another door and white-board on the same side. Their is a lot of writing on the white boards.

    Journal Entry #13

Describe the odors you encounter the minute you walk into your home.
When I walk into my house there are alot of different smells. If my parents are cooking I hopefully smell good food. I smell colon if somebody is going somewhere and they want to smell good. If I don't clean my room, I could smell my stinky room. When it also rains, it smells like the ocean. That's about it.

    Journal Entry #14

Describe the sounds of the cafeteria during lunch.
The sounds that I hear in the cafeteria are people talking and laughing. You could also hear the sound of footsteps from people running around. Sometimes you hear the dean screaming cause he thinks it's to load.

    Journal Entry #15

Pick an animal you have touched. Describe what it feels like.
An animal that I have touched is a dog. It's nothing special, it feels like fur. If you never touched fur it kind of feels like hair, but smoother and sometimes shorter. It's ears felt like suede and its nose felt like wet rubber.

    Journal Entry #16

    I don't really have a favorite person.

    Journal Entry #17

Describe your least favorite person. Don't tell us why you dislike this person. Describe what the person looks, smells, and sounds like, and through this, we should be able to tell what you think about the person through your description.

    Journal Entry #18

Describe the happiest moment of your life, paying attention to describing the objects, sights, and sounds around you.
The happiest moment of my life was when I got my dog. I always wanted a dog, but I was never able to get one. One day I saw this dog in this little tank and I told my moms and pops that I wanted that dog. They talked about it and we ended up getting the dog. It was a pug (the talking dog in Men In Black). It's kind of like my best friend.

    Journal Entry #19

Describe the saddest moment of your life, paying attention to describing the objects, sights, and sounds around you.
The saddest moment of my life was when my hamster died. I was like 5 yrs old and I wanted a hamster cause my friend had one. So I got one for my birthday. I always used to play with it and take care of it. When it started to get old it had trouble walking. I felt bad for it. When I came home from school one day it died. It only lasted three yrs and I was only 8, so I was really sad. That was the saddest moment of my life that I could remember.

    Journal Entry #20

Describe a time you saw something bad happen to another person and explain how it made you feel. Why?
One time I saw these kids jumping these other kids. I didn't know him so I didn't get involved. I felt bad for the kid, but there was nothing I could do for him. I was across the street, so I walked home.

    Journal Entry #21

What do you do when something bad happens? (i.e., do you tell someone? do you write it down? do you keep it to yourself?)
When something bad happens I either keep it to myself or I tell somebody. It depends what the situation is. If it is serious I keep it to myself because I dont want nobody to know about it. If it's minor I would probaly tell somebody cause I dont care.

    Journal Entry #22

What do you do when something good or important happens? (i.e., do you tell someone? do you write it down? do you keep it to yourself?)?
When something good happens to me I usually tell everyone. If it's important to me than I'll tell everyone. If it is not that important than I'll just tell a few people.

Describe how you felt your first day of high school.
I felt excited the first day of high school. I wanted to see what kind of people were going to be in this school. I wanted to know if the girls were going to be pretty or ugly. If the boys were good in basketball, so I have competition. That's about it.
